Island Rømø

You can find a lovely, private summer cottage or holiday home on the island Rømø, an island in the south west of Jutland in the Wadden Sea direct north of the border between Germany and Denmark.

The island Rømø is very special caused by its situation in the North Sea and the harse climate outside the summertime.

The Island Rømø has the broadest sandy beach i Danmark - more than 2 km at the low water and only some few hunderd meters at high water. Do allways rember where you park you car at low water, if you want to drive home!

Behind the dunes you find a lot of wonderful cottages and holiday homes, many of them in Havneby in the south with a ferry to island Sild in Germany and in Østerby and Høstbjerg.

Island Als

In The Small Belt you find the beautiful island Als with nice landscapes, peaceful rural areas and woods - and very nice villages with child friendly beaches like Skovmose, Kegnæs and Mommark.

The main town is Sønderborg, a very old town at the narrow sound between island Als and Broager. Sønderborg is a modern town with an airport and the interesting, old castle Sønderborg Slot.

The west coast of the island has many bays and coves: Stegsvig, Sandvig, Ketting Nor, Lille Hav, Augstenborg Fjord, Kær Vig, Hørup Hav, and Dyvig. On the east coast along the Little Belt lies the 7 km² Northern Forest (Nørreskov), and Lake Nordborg (Nordborg Sø).
